After we celebrated my birthday with some fabulous Honey Chipotle Chicken Crispers and a nice cold beer we found the nearest hotel and crashed. The tickets that we got were first class from New York to Switzerland so I had to dress up a little bit and I had the shave the amazing beard I had started growing. It was getting gross, and probably past time for us to part ways. Once the beard was gone and some sleep was put in, we left at 3:30 AM to head out to New York. I have never been to NY, so to say the least driving through Times Square was crazy. Just watching someone drive there was stressing...

On our way from Kansas City to Omaha our car ran out of gas and Aaron had to get out and walk. The next exit was over 7 miles away, and although I think Aaron loved the idea of a late night jog, somebody stopped and gave him a ride shortly after he bravely left to retrieve the gas. It was a crazy way to start the trip.
One stop we meant to make on our way out of the country was an interview with The Morning Blend, in Omaha NE, the next day. Aaron talked about what travel really means and how bags can get in the way of that. The TV station was pretty insane, with tons of cameras and lights...

The news is true. My wife and I found out a little over two months ago that our lives would be a tad bit different in the next 9 months. Changing diapers, loosing sleep, and getting thrown up on are all things that believe it or not, we are excited for. We feel so blessed to be able to let everyone know that our family is getting a little bigger. Thank you to our family and friends. We feel so much love and support from all of you, and can't wait to introduce you to our baby in May.

Aaron is off again, conquering yet another fear in another country. This time it's in Fiji, and it's open water diving with real sharks!! This ain't your grandma's cage diving, this is the ultimate in adrenaline rush. This is one section from the upcoming episode that airs on the Halogen channel this month. Stay tuned and see if Aaron sinks, or swims when he's confronted with breathing under water for the first time.

This video is from Rolf Potts, who is currently traveling the world with no luggage. Rolf Potts is a travel writer and is perhaps best known for promoting the ethic of independent travel, and his book on the subject, Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long-Term World Travel. (Random House, 2003) You can follow more on this project at www.rtwblog.com. Also look out for Rolf Potts making an appearance on, "Alive, with Adventure Aaron." Aaron got a chance to sit down with Rolf and get some advice before he left on his trip.
I'm posting this because at the end of this month I will be traveling...
